The Message delivery statistics report visualizes delivery data for manually sent mailings, text messages, or postal exports and does not include transactional send-outs or communication sent through marketing automation workflows.
When you open the report you will see the average open rate over the last 30 days, or the metric and period that you choose the last time you visited the report.
You can see what filters and selections you have made above the graph, presented starting from the graph canvas top left corner.
On the top right you have two buttons: “Download the report” and “Edit filter” and if you scroll down you will see a table list of all the send-outs that exist in the current selection.
We will get back to describing the list and its features under “The send outs-table” further down in this article, but let’s start by describing the two buttons.
When clicking “Download report”, a download of a CSV file will start. The columns that you receive in the CSV file are in exact numbers. From these numbers, you may do any operations you may see fit to get the rates or graphs you want.
Pressing this button allows you to enter a dialogue where you can edit the filter and adjust how you want the report to present numbers. When done editing filter, finish by clicking "Apply filter".
At the top of this dialogue box, you can see three radio buttons. Each button corresponds to a communications channel (email, SMS, and postal). You may select the communication channel that you wish to view in the graph and in the send-outs-table below the graph.
Directly beneath the channel selection, you will find a date range picker. The date range picker allows you to select a date range of interest. You will then be able to see statistics for all send-outs that exist in that date range.
“Group by” is situated beneath the date range picker. In the “Group on” drop-down list, you may select how to aggregate and view your data.
Selecting Day/Week/Month will aggregate all send-outs that occurred the same Day/Week/Month and calculate the different rates based on the selected dimension.
When you select send out, you will see each send out in the form of a bar in a bar chart. This allows you to easily compare measures between send-outs.
In this drop-down, you may select a measure that you want to view in the graph. The measures that you can select are:
- Total sent
- Average Open rate
- Average Unique Click rate
- Average Unique CTOR (Click to open rate)
- Average Click rate
- Average CTOR
- Average opt-out rate
- Average delivery rate
- Average Soft bounce rate
- Average Hard bounce rate
The send-outs table shows all the send-outs that exist in the result from the filter dialogue.
In the top left section of this table, you’ll find the search field. Type part of a send-out name or subject line that you wish to search for.
In the top right corner, you will find the possibility to sort the table and show and hide specific columns. You may also select specific send-outs. If selected, only these send-outs will appear in the graph.
